The Annual Symposium hosted by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Michigan State University was a huge success. This year's two-day program was filled with interesting, provocative, challenging, and inspiring sessions around the topic of Regional Inequality in Times of Globalization.

The keynote address, The Opportunity Gap in Mesoamerica, was given by Alejandro Villanueva who is the Regional Director for Programs in Latin America for the W. K. Kellogg Foundation.
