Resources from Symposium 2011
The Annual Symposium hosted by the Center for Latin American
and
Caribbean Studies at Michigan State University was a great success. This year's two-day program was filled with interesting and inspiring sessions around the topic of Diminishing Latin America's Inequalities: Land, Food and Human Health Strategies.
The keynote address, Brazil’s Unified Health System May Promote
Social Inequality: Paradox or Dialectic? was given by Naomar Almeida-Filho who is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Instituto de Saúde Coletiva Federal University of Bahia, Brazil.
